Many people are subject to traumatic experiences in their job. Some repeatedly, some just once. But all can result in PTSD. And its not always the obvious people like soldiers and first responders. It can be shop keepers, teachers, taxi drivers, clergy, journalists …anyone. Any worker who has been robbed, assaulted, harassed on the job or witnesses a traumatic event can be afflicted with PTSD. I’m proud to have been a part of this public service campaign by the Newfoundland Association of Public Employees to bring workplace mental health legislation to the province for all workers.
