Sound Symposium 2012 – Day 5

If you made your way out to Fort Amherst, at the mouth of St. John’s harbour, on Friday afternoon you would have been treated to a great song and dance number by a bunch of humpback whales. If you made your way down through the crumbling concrete of the WW II bunkers you would have been treated to the sound of the Instant Places audio installation by Laura Kavanaugh and Ian Birse. Sounds and images generated in real time and broadcast to the web. I know MOST of you were not there so here is a little sample of what you missed. Instart Places – BUNKERS on YouTube.
