…and that means shooting some ice climbing. Here is a little “Behind The Scenes” of me hanging out with Terry Day climbing “High Anxiety”, a 40 meter, WI5 with very irregular formations in Red Head Cove, Newfoundland. Needless to say that this takes a lot of planning. Not only what cameras and lenses to take but the best outdoor gear and safety equipment that will keep you warm and dry but still give you room to hike and climb in. Thanks to Trevor Wragg for the photo of us.

The weather has been horrid in Newfoundland so far this spring and summer so we’ve taken advantage of the few nice days to get outdoors and do what we love … explore Newfoundland! I also had the unexpected pleasure of photographing my friend and excellent climber, Carla, who is back on the east coast for the summer.
Daughter Erinn won the Woman’s Opens Division at The Outfitters ROCKFALL 2015 climbing competition at Wallnuts Climbing Centre in St. John’s, Newfoundland this weekend. Erinn is 14 and a member of the Newfoundland Junior Climbing Team and won her age class at her last competition on the Tour du Bloc national series in Montreal, Quebec. Its been a good season for her. Photo by proud father….
